I am in such a food coma right now. We went to my aunt’s house for Thanksgiving this year, and the food was sooooo good. Also, I tried the stuffing that my mom made this year (it was a new recipe) and I liked it! I try it every year and I’ve never liked it before, so I was proud of myself, haha (as if I need to eat anything else at Thanksgiving… whatever).
Last night we carried out our Thanksgiving tradition of going to the movies on the night before Thanksgiving. We saw theChristmas Carol (the animated one with Jim Carrey). The good thing about it was that it definitely got me in the mood for Christmas. However, as a die-hard Muppet Christmas Carol fan, there were definitely things lacking about it. For one, it was really dark. I never really realized how dark the story was until there were no muppets singing and dancing throughout the movie. Plus, the dead bodies and other creepy imagery didn’t help and was overall kind of unnecessary. More than anything, it made me want to go watch the Muppet version, which you really should see if you haven’t seen it. It’s amazing. You just can’t beat Michael Caine, and Gonzo as Charles Dickens? Classic.
Tomorrow is Black Friday, but I don’t really have any big shopping plans. I always want to go, but I never have my act together enough to get any productive shopping done, so I skip it knowing that it would only result in me shopping for myself.
Lastly, I’ve been thinking about all of the things that I have to be thankful for this year. And the number one thing that comes up for me every time is all of the great people and relationships that I have in my life. Since I’m pretty sure that everyone who reads this blog falls in to that category, I just wanted to say that I appreciate you guys. You make my life awesome. Happy Thanksgiving!
