I celebrated my last day of winter break by doing nothing. In my defense, I’m having a hard time shakin’ whatever bug I’ve had since Friday. Plus, I finished unpacking (mostly), ordered some books, and went to Wal-Mart. So there.
When I’m at school I usually have a series of TV that I watch on DVD as something to do at night before I go to bed. This semester I’m going to try something different. I started a book last night, in hopes that this would take the place of my TV on DVD. I love to read, but I usually reserve my reading for summer breaks. However, I figured that there was no reason not to read for fun if I was going to be spending the time watching TV, on Facebook, or otherwise being unproductive.
I started Lucia, Lucia by Adriana Trigiani, one of my mom’s favorite authors.
I’m really enjoying it so far. I love reading stories that take place in different times. This one is set in New York City in the 1950’s. I’ll let you know how I like it when I’m done.
