This last week as the weather has been getting warmer (hopefully for good soon!) I’ve been plagued by the feeling that I “have a closet full of clothes but nothing to wear.” You know, that cliched problem that plagues women all the time.
Typically my solution to this problem is to get rid of some of the clothes in my closet so that I can buy new ones.
I have noticed that I have several winter items that I haven’t worn all season. Most of them are clothes I’ve had since high school that I’ve been hesitant to get rid of. Usually I’m pretty good about getting rid of stuff, but these few things have been hanging on because I really loved them at one point, and I keep thinking that I might like it again if I try it on. Predictably, I never do. I’ve been hesitant to weed out my closet because I’m not sure where I should put the clothes I don’t want. At home, I put them in a box and my mom sees to it that they are donated (don’t I sound like a brat?) Should I donate these clothes somewhere? We have a Goodwill nearby, but does Goodwill even want these clothes? I don’t know. What I do know is that the last thing I need is another pile of clothes sitting around my tiny room. Which brings me to my last problem…
I CAN NOT seem to put my clothes away. I constantly have a pile of clothes in limbo between my desk chair and my bed. They are always on one or the other, depending on where I’m sitting. Part of it was that my closet was really unorganized, so I folded everything and organized it the other night.
