I haven’t been home for Easter since I went to college. It just never makes sense. I usually do all of my school work on Sunday, and no matter how hard I try to get my work done early (seriously, I’ve tried) it just never happens. Typically, it feels like any other day at college, except that I have some extra chocolate to munch on. My family is really good about sending me stuff, but it just isn’t the same as being with them. This year Brian’s family went to visit his sister, which meant that he could come visit me! Brian came late on Thursday night and arrived with many Easter goodies. My mom sent us two mini cakes from Wegmans (one white, one chocolate). They were so cute and yummy! Getting through this day has been made easier knowing that there is cake waiting for me in my fridge. My mom also sent these pretty white tulips:
On Friday I had class all day, but we got pizza for dinner (typical) and we frolicked and took pictures.
Saturday we went to look for an apartment for Brian to live in next year (!). We looked at three and he loved the last one. He filled out the paperwork so we are crossing our fingers that everything works out okay.
The apartment is the second floor of the house. It doesn’t look like much on the outside, but with a little TLC I think it will be so cute, especially compared to the other ones we looked at (yuck!) Brian is going to law school in a small town so after we dropped off his application we had a great time poking in to all of the cute shops there.
On Sunday we just went to brunch and enjoyed the weather before he left and I had to get to A-School. We had such a sunny and happy weekend! I hope everyone had a Happy Easter!
[now back to work… grr]
