This was another really fun weekend. I apologize to those of you who grow tired of me saying that, but it’s true! Brian, my brother, and his friend came to visit. They arrived Saturday morning, and after brunch at a dining hall, I put on my tour guide pants and took the boys for a nice walking tour of my school. The weather was nice and cool and gorgeous. After our tour we came back to my apartment and just chilled out until dinner time.
We went to Boylan for dinner, which serves burgers but is mostly known among university students for being a bar. I had never eaten there before but had heard that it was good. The food didn’t disappoint. The burgers were yummy, and I also got sweet potato fries which were delish. The weird part was that there was a birthday party for tween boys while we were there. It just seemed weird to plan your child’s birthday party at a bar. While we were eating, we watched all the parents who kept coming back and forth to the bar to get drinks. Maybe bar birthday party for your eleven year-old isn’t such a bad idea after all.
But I digress. After dinner we tried to go to the lacrosse game. We got there, and they weren’t letting students in anymore, which meant that me and my roommates wouldn’t be able to get in. So instead I sold the three tickets I had bought and we went home. I made $13 profit on one of the tickets because I didn’t have change and the man told me that I was “cute,” so I guess that made our bus ride out there worth it.
After the lacrosse debacle, we came home and then went back out again. We went to a couple of parties, where my brother and his friend had fun lying about where they were from. My favorite was when my brother told someone he went to Georgetown and that his dad owned Doritos. Good one, bro.
