By the title, you can probably guess that this is going to be boring. I know. This is NOT the fun part. Unfortunately, the venue is probably THE deciding factor of what your wedding will be like, and venue is dictated by size of your wedding… therefore, guest list.
I’ve made up a (very) rough list and it looks like it is going to be between 150 to 200 people. My parents don’t seem keen on the whole 200 person thing, so I’ve been trying to narrow it down. It pretty much sucks. I stopped having birthday parties at a certain age because I hated excluding people, which inevitably happens with kid’s birthday parties. This is like that, only a lot worse. If you’re out there and have any words of wisdom on this, PLEASE let me know. I need all the help I can get.
On the bright side, if Brian and I can get our act together, we might be visiting a possible venue this weekend! It’s kinda late notice so hopefully it will work out.
I haven't completely decided on a venue, but the one that I really really want only allows 130 people, so that's how I am shaping the guest list.
It really sucks knowing that people will be excluded and I have the same horrible feeling inside knowing that I will hurt someone in the process, but I feel like the venue's restriction gives me a little excuse.
I hope this helps!
