I accompanied Brian to Best Buy yesterday on his mission to buy a new laptop for law school. While he was waiting, I wandered over to the camera section.

Swoon. I really want a DSLR camera. Unfortunately, I don’t want one to the tune of five hundred bucks (which according to the selection is really modest for a DSLR). I am taking a photography class next semester, so maybe that could help me rationalize a purchase? Perhaps?
Of course it was Sunday, so the store was crowded, and every time I walked over to there to gawk at the cameras some butthead was snapping away pictures like he owned it or something. Step aside, Junior! It’s my turn! Unfortunately, I couldn’t work up the nerve to push the camera hogs out of my way.
Long story short, much like a mouse, if you give Kate* something, she is going to need the necessary accessories. In this case, if you give Kate a new printer, she is going to want a new camera.
*I apologize for the whole third-person thing. I know it’s obnoxious. But sometimes I can’t help myself.
I bought a DSLR from Best Buy and love it- unfort it costs more then you think because its just the base that costs $500 and normally you have to buy a couple lenses to go with it! That being said, a nice camera is a great investment and if you are taking a photography class you'll really enjoy learning how to use it!
