Wedding Wednesday: Favors

wedding

16 Jun

Favors are one of my favorite things to look at on wedding blogs. They are often a really good way to distill the theme of your wedding into one item, and people often get really creative with them. Unfortunately, I have no idea what theme I would want to distill, but it’s fun to look right? Sometimes the favors just display the wedding colors and some form of the couple’s monogram, which I am always up for.

I don’t know what is going in these cute little boxes, but I’m certainly in favor of them (no pun intended.)

I’ve decided that any sort of edible favor would be a good choice for us, since food is clearly of a big deal to Brian and me.

But this one has to be my all time favorite.

That’s right folks. Homemade ice cream kit in a mason jar. Too cute.

These are some other posts on favors that I love. Enjoy!

A board based off of mini teapot favors.

Beers adorned with custom wedding labels.

Pretty chocolate bars.

How cool are these wedding CD’s?

We spent hours making my favors and in the end nobody took them…such a waste of money! I would suggest making sure you put them at the tables, instead of by the door. People just seemed to forget at the end of the night. I love the CD idea though! I wanted to do that but ran out of time.

I think anything with personal meaning is good. My wife and I made lemon curd–she designed labels for them so the jars looked great. Have fun planning!
