For whatever reason, I’ve been kinda slow on the reading this summer. I’m gonna use work as my excuse. Anyway, I finally finished the book I’ve been reading.
My mom recommended this to me, and it wasn’t what I initially expected. It touches on a lot of different topics, and offers a lot of different things. It really made me want to visit Charleston, where the story takes place, and I really enjoyed the relationships between the characters. I think that’s why it was recommended to me. However, this book is not for those of you with weak stomachs. There is plenty of violence and gore. I’m talking weird stuff. Plus, sometimes the characters were kinda over the top to the point where I had a hard time relating to them.
I loved some parts of this book, and felt lukewarm about other parts. Overall, I really enjoyed reading it. It has interesting characters and and interesting plot. Just brace yourself for some unpleasantness (do I sound like I’m 80? I do, don’t I?)
I rated this on Goodreads. If you have an account, friend me!
