I am getting married one year from today. Eek! I think I’m feeling more wedding-motivated as a result.
I got onto The Knot today, mostly because I just wanted to see that 365 countdown, and also to check out their little checklist thingy. I saw the wedding website link, which I haven’t updated at all. Before I filled it out, I thought I would throw a question out into the blogosphere.
Was your wedding website helpful? And did you use the one provided by The Knot, or did you use another provider? Just curious.
So exciting!! I used a paid one thinking I would need some extra features, and it was a huge waste of money! I don't know who I would use now, but I'd for sure use a free one! I really like The Knot's to do list. The one organizational thing I didn't do was have one master list for EVERYTHING guest related. I'd HIGHLY recommend adding columns into your guest list for things like “engagement gift y/n” “engagement gift thank you y/n” all the way through showers and the wedding, because I kept a different present list for each shower, each event, and I'm sure I missed someone somewhere! The one guest list thing I did do right was have it in Google Docs, so my MIL and fiance and I all had access to the most current version from any computer. That was easy!
Thanks for the tips! I really like the Google Docs idea.
congrats on the one year mark!
I used a website by mywedding.com for free. It works pretty well and can be pretty personalized. they have different templates and stuff to use.
Thanks! I'll have to check that out.
