Remember on Sunday, when I was all, “ohmygodmylifeisamazingggg!” Well, that lasted for about a nanosecond when this group project that was due yesterday kicked me in the butt come Monday. I seriously spent allllll week on this annoying and boring presentation. Guh. But it’s over now! Over the course of this crazy week I’ve accumulated some random thoughts that I thought I would share.
I’ve started going to this exercise class on Mondays that I am loving. It’s a strength class, so we do a ton of squats, lunges, and upper body and abs stuff. We use a lot of body bars, of which I am a big fan. The instructor is really good, and I am always hella sore for like three days afterward. I’ve only been twice but I’m glad to have found this class, since I’m really bad about doing strength training on my own.
Tuesday night was the premiere of Glee!!! I was so excited. But, after watching it I wasn’t totally sold. I thought that New York wasn’t as good as the real version, and the whole jealous Rachel storyline seemed dumb, because OBVIOUSLY no one is as good Rachel. Especially that Sunshine chick, with her weird dance moves. Not even close. And then when they did give me the Rachel ballad that I so desperately wanted, I didn’t know the song AND I thought it fit in weirdly with the story line. She doesn’t regret the things she did for love… of the spotlight? Just no. I did however think Sue had some good lines, and I liked the whole Tina/Mike Chang thing. The jury is out on the boy with the Bieber cut… although I did like the scene where he sang “Billionaire” a lot.
Mostly what I got out of this episode of Glee is HOW FREAKING EXCITED I AM FOR NEXT WEEK. Brittany is one of my favorite characters. But character aside, her dancing is one of my favorite things about many of the songs. So an entire episode of Brittany dancing to Britney? I wouldn’t consider myself a huge Britney Spears fan, but her first album was one of the first CD’s I ever bought, and her stuff will be GREAT for dance numbers. I am so excited. I should probably lower my expectations so that what happened to me last week doesn’t happen again.
On Wednesday night I lost my phone in my apartment. Yes. It was on vibrate. Wanna know where I found it? In the drawer where we keep dish towels. I seriously had to question my sanity at this point. There is a story as to why it ended up in there, but I won’t bore you with it.
Yesterday after class I came home and plopped on my bed with my computer. I didn’t move for probably 3 hours, and then came back and stayed on for several more hours. What was I doing? Researching my family history. I got so sucked in. I even ate dinner at like 10:00 because I didn’t feel like prying myself from my laptop. I don’t do things like that. The reason I got so sucked in was that I found this website that had a lot of original scanned documents, so it allowed me to trace back part of our family that no one really knows anything about. It was awesome. I wrote my grandma this novel of an email this morning complete with all of these census forms and death certificates that I saved to my computer. I wish that I could throw in a cool old family photo right now, but I don’t have any on my computer. I know you’re disappointed too.
Wow, if you’ve made it this far, allow me to offer you my congratulations! Thanks for reading, and have a wonderful weekend!
