This was really my last real weekend of college before finals start and everyone’s schedule is a little out of whack. It was definitely one for the books.
Thursday night I ate dinner with some roomies at a local Mexican restaurant. We sat on the porch and enjoyed the sunny weather. It was lovely.
Afterwards, we came home and watched the NBC Thursday line up with a bottle of white wine. We made scones in preparation for the Royal Wedding.
Later we went to bars, got ice cream at our 24/7 Dunkin Donuts Baskin Robbins, and slept on the floor in anticipation of the next morning.
We woke up at 5:00 and got to lay in our sleepover beds and watch the festivities. I was so glad we got up and watched it live- the anticipation was the funnest part! We saw everyone arrive and got to see Kate’s dress for the first time.

Brian came up on Friday and we ran around and finished up some errands, went to some receptions at the University Art Museum and the art building, and then ate a late dinner at the Virginian, the restaurant of my favorite mac and cheese.
On Saturday we went to Foxfield, which is technically a horse race, but really just an excuse to dress up in your preppiest and day drink in a field. This was my second year in attendance and Brian’s first. It was so much fun. We bounced back and fourth between A-School, my roomies, and Brian’s law school friends’ plot. I wore a white hat and I got sunburned. And I even watched some horse races.

When we got home I took a nap. Brian woke me up at 8:00 to go to dinner at Mellow Mushroom with the survivors who were still awake at the apartment. We split a pepperoni pizza and a Funky Q. Chicken, our favorite, and I split a pitcher of Blue Moon with my roomie and her friend.
This morning Brian and I woke up, ate some oatmeal, and went on an hour-long adventure exploring a neighborhood in Charlottesville. It was fun, even though we did get a little lost.
After our adventure, we went to lunch at the Dragon Lady, a Chinese food restaurant we like. We talked about our honeymoon options (we have been flip-flopping a little lately) and about life post-wedding.
Brian left around 3:00, and I have been putting off studying in favor of doing other work and reading blogs.
I can’t believe that it is May already. In two days I will be done with undergraduate classes forever. I am graduating from college this month! Craziness!
