Wedding Wednesday: Flowers

wedding

15 Jun
Last week my mom, my aunt and I went to a wholesale flower store in Maryland to pick out our flowers. My aunt has agreed to arrange the flowers for us (I know… isn’t she awesome?!) so our job was to figure out what we wanted and how much. It was so much fun. Seriously. Wedding planning in general can be fun, but this has really been one of my favorite things about wedding planning so far.
We walked in, and people were pushing around these big wooden carts full of flowers. From there, we walked through an industrial looking doorway with those big plastic slats (kind of like at a grocery store) into this refrigerated room where there were flowers EVERYWHERE. The guy who helped us with our order was awesome- apparently he has done work for the Oscars and the Rose Parade, so that was pretty cool. We got to run around the room, grab whatever we liked, and bring them to our cart, where he helped us pair flowers together for the different arrangements we needed and decided how many to order. It was so cool.

{here’s a little flower sneak peek!}
I feel like things are really starting to come together! I mean, what else does a wedding need really than beautiful flowers? Just kidding. Sorta.
