Wedding Wednesday: Timeline

wedding

20 Jul

With only 24 days until the wedding and counting, I feel like I have to make the most of every day. That means lots of list making. Otherwise it is really hard for me to stay on task.

One of the main things on my list for tomorrow is to make a timeline for the day of the wedding. I know that we have the ceremony site from 2:00 to 4:00, therefore, the ceremony starts at 3:00. The reception is from 4:00 to 8:00. For a long time this seemed like I had everything figured out.
Then I realized that I need to come up with a detailed itinerary of everything that was going to happen, to coordinate all of the goings-on of the day. It’s kind of overwhelming.
I have bookmarked some posts on wedding blogs about timing, but tell me, do you have any tips about creating a timeline for your wedding? Did you not leave enough time for something? Should some things happen consecutively? All input is appreciated.
Every day I make a mental timeline of everything else that needs to be done for the wedding. Programs. Favors. Cupcake picks. Those are the major crafts I’m down to, but there are other items and organizational things that need to happen.

Today my mom asked me when I thought we would feel “done.” I said August 14th.
Maybe.
