Tomorrow is Brian’s first day of class. It feels so weird to not be starting school, but at the same time, such a relief. I always got a teensy bit nervous the night before the first day of school. Some years of college I was more than a teensy bit nervous. I feel like Brian starting class is somewhat of a beginning for me as well, and I’m excited for the week to start so that we can begin to get into a routine.
Tonight we are having cheeseburgers and mac and cheese (Brian’s family’s recipe) and salad as a “happy last day of summer” dinner. I’m so not ready for summer to be over! I could go for another two weeks of laying poolside or on the beach.

We’ve had a very lazy weekend. Last night one of Brian’s friends had us over for dinner along with some of their other law student friends. Brian’s friend and his wife just had a baby so we got to watch her roll around on the floor, she was very cute! It was nice to finally put a face to some of the names I’ve heard over the course of Brian’s first year of law school.
Today we went to Wal-Mart for some school supply shopping and then I went on a run. I think I finally found somewhere to run that makes me happy! Brian likes to run on trails but I prefer neighborhood scenery myself. Lexington has so many cute and old houses and today I found an easy way to get their from our new apartment.
I’m trying to get myself geared up to hit the ground running with the job hunt tomorrow. I’ll probably post more on that this week since it has been at the forefront of my mind lately.
Enjoy what’s left of your weekend!
