About Me

I thought that my first sketchbook page I posted on here should be an introductory one.  In high school at the beginning of the school year there were often “getting to know you” assignments… collages or sculptures or drawings that were really just more advanced versions of the “All About Me” posters we made in Kindergarten.  I haven’t made one in a very long time, so I thought I would do one in my sketchbook so that you could learn a little more about me.

I was also inspired by those “100 facts about me” pages that I’ve seen several bloggers post on their blogs.  I thought it would be cool to merge the two together.  Due to lack of space, I decided to narrow it down to 25 facts about me.  Here is what I came up with.  I apologize if parts are hard to read, you can click on the image to enlarge it!  (For some reason I thought writing on a paper towel was a good idea *cough* #14.)

Materials: Acrylic paint, Sharpie pen, pigment-based drawing ink, magazine clippings, kraft paper bag, paper towel, Chipotle bag.

Lovely! I’m so inspired by this, and it really makes me want to pick up that watercolor brush again… Oh, well only another couple of weeks with those exams and then I’ll have time to start being creative again!

I took a class called “tell your story” and that was our first “assignment”. I thought it was really fun to do. Looks like you had a good time too :) Here was what I did if you’re interested: http://www.flickr.com/photos/dailydoily/4536079414/in/set-72157623767458863

I love your page!  It looks awesome!  You did such a good job with the colors and the layers.  The white ink looks so cool.  Can’t wait to check you your blog : )
