Stockings!

holidays· lovebug· newlyweds· shopping

I have the cutest husband. Today he took a break from studying to surprise me with these stockings that he bought for our first Christmas. He picked them out all by himself! Isn’t that so cute? He did such a good job!
I love them!  Now I just have to find things to put in Brian’s stocking.  Since we will be at our families’ houses at Christmas, we have decided to celebrate our own mini Christmas here in our apartment before we head north.
We are still working on how we are going to split the holidays once we get there.  In the past, Brian and I always just made sure that we saw each other, but for the most part stuck with our respective families.  It was so much easier!  If you have a significant other, how do you split your holiday?

These are adorable!!! He did a great job of picking them out! The holidays are hard once you are married…we still haven't figured out how to do them!

we split Christmas Eve with my family since that's when we open gifts and Christmas Day with Sam's family. This year, we get to be selfish and have it to ourselves! (:

I loathe splitting holidays. I know its not fair, but I just want to be with my fam!

These stockings are so adorable! Your husband has good taste! :)

I have the same trouble splitting holidays. My boyfriend [of six years] and I are from the same hometown, and I feel like we're constantly shuffling back and forth. I suppose it's no bad thing to have too many loved ones to see!

Oh my goodness! Those stockings are so cute! :)
Your husband did a wonderful job picking them out! Splitting holidays is crazy, considering I have 3 families…just on my side! Good luck splitting up your holidays!

Maybe just having a small celebration with just you two will be a highlight to the year!

Those stocking are gorgeous. I am totally digging burlap this season.

Holidays are always a hard time for choosing who to spend it wish. My husband and I agreed to stick together because that's who we want to spend time with and we try our best to make the rounds and get in all the family time we can handle.

Oh my goodness! Those stockings are just darling. Where did he get them?

To answer your question, we split the holidays by spending Thanksgiving wit his family and then Christmas with mine. We also do a week in the summer and spend with his family since we see my family all the time. :)
