Stripes and Polka Dots 2

Blogger Designs· Design Work

11 Jan

Last week I was working on updating my blog, Stripes and Polka Dots, and I decided that it needed a face lift.

I decided to stick with the same color scheme, but I wanted my blog to be wider and cleaner.  Maybe it was because the New Year had just passed or because I’ve had glitter on the brain for a few weeks now, but I decided to add some glitter texture and add a confetti motif to my background and header (thanks Pugly Pixel!)  I decided to design a pattern that just tiled horizontally to create a background effect that stayed at the top of page, which was an idea I have been thinking about a lot lately.

I had the most fun designing the Get in Touch box.  I felt like I was scrapbooking or something.  I love designing things that are packed with function as well as adding something aesthetically to the site.

Thanks for reading!  Have you come across any designs that you love lately?  I’d love to hear!
