balance

recipes· weekend recap· winter· work

6 Feb

How was your weekend?  Mine passed in yoga pants and pajamas, but I worked most of the time.  Which is okay, because I kinda love this kind of work, but still, I think that balance is going to be a big theme is this little venture of mine.

Also happened this weekend: I came down with some sort of cold, our fire alarm went off no less than four times due to something gross in our oven, Brian made pizza, and I ate cinnamon rolls, chips and dip, sour patch kids, pizza, and icecream exclusively on Super Bowl Sunday.  Win?  I feel like I need to go on some sort of extreme cleanse today.  Ugh.

I made myself a promise that I won't eat any unhealthy food and sweets for two weeks and I'm on my sixth day, and it's a little hard. I've had a weekend pretty much like yours, in every other way: spending time in front of my computer almost all day. It's been so cold and rainy outside that I just couldn't get myself to go out. Don't feel good about that though…

I feel like that too! Last night I had lots of wings, potato skins, mozzarella sticks, spinach and artichoke dip, and wayyyy too much nutella. I'm definitely going to work out today!

The food you ate sounds so good right now! So much better than my turkey sandwich and pretzels!

I hope the rest of your week has gone better–I think it is so so hard to find balance!

Balance is hard to find! I'm always trying to figure it out. It often goes that I focus too much on school and scramble to find some time for myself, or it flies too far to the other end of the spectrum. There has to be a way to pamper myself to take care of my mind, body, and soul, and still make sure all my obligations are met.

Just stumbled upon your blog, it's completely adorable, I am a new reader! :)
