hello there

25 Apr

Things have been growing around here, and I wanted to get to know you guys a little better.  Hopefully you can get to know each other a little better too!  Naomi did something similar on her blog last week, and I had so much fun reading the comments that I thought it would be fun to try here.

So who are you?  Where are you from?  What’s your blog about?  I’m dying to know!  Just say hi, that’s all you gotta do!

P.S.  I do a lot of my chatting with other bloggers on Twitter– if you don’t follow me yet, make it happen!  I’d love to get to know you better over there too!

Hi Kate! ♥ I had fun reading Naomi's blog post, too and I'm glad you're also doing it! I might post one, too. ;)

So, hello. I'm Arvee and blog over at flutterhappy.com. I'm from the Philippines. :)

I started my blog almost two years ago. The main purpose was for self-expression. It's fun having a blog because you get to meet new people and discover new stuff.

Flutter Happy (flutterhappy.com) is mostly a personal blog, but since I bought my camera, it looks like it's becoming a photoblog. ;D

    Hi Kate :)
I'm Emily from Emmy June {born in May}, found at http://www.emmy-june.com

I found you via Emily at Hope Squared and we're already twitter friends!
My blog is a lifestyle blog, specifically focused on our ex-pat life in Australia.
I'm originally from Michigan, however, I consider Southern California my permanent home now.
The husband and I will return to SoCal in just a few short months (although I'll be sad to say goodbye to Sydney!)

    Cheers,

    Hi there! :)

I'm so glad we've “met” via the blogosphere and can't wait for a real life meeting story to happen this summer!
    Since the lovely Joelle re-designed my blog, I now blog at Case Study! {http://asteroid-325.blogspot.com}

I have aways lived in VA as well! I am one of eight kids, I have eight nieces and nephews, and grew up in a small town as a Catholic, homeschooled kid from a huge family :) I graduated last spring with a BS in psychology, tried grad school on for size, and quickly discovered that the program I chose wasn't the right path for me. I've since chosen a new program {Cognitive Psychology} and I'm in the process of studying for GRE's and applying to schools for next fall. Last October I married Thomas, and we've been living near Radford U while he finishes his degree in Computer Science. He is currently sorting through job offers, and we're preparing for a move to Northern VA for said job in just a few weeks. In the next year we're hoping to get moved into a great house, finally get a puppy, and I'd like to start graduate school.

Love your blog so much :)
    xo! Eliza

I also love that you (and Kate) are coming to Northern VA. There are so many great people here and maybe we can all get together! :)

Hiya! I'm Sarah, 23- an Army wife new to Texas, by way of Canada, California, Pennsylvania, and some time in Finland and DC! I started my blog (http://ftdofsmcp.blogspot.com/) just over a year ago, but my husband entered into the blogging world before me, actually. I write about our adventures, big and small, and post a lot of pictures of our two kittens (ok, they are technically cats now. shh). We were married in a little courthouse before he deployed last year, so we are planning our big wedding celebration for this June, back in PA!
I graduated from Pitt with a BS in Psychology and Anthropology, and I'll be starting grad school for social work at Baylor this fall!

Blogging has been a great outlet, and such a warming, welcoming way to get to know people!

Well hi there! I'm Megan. We've e-mailed a few times when I left you blog comments. :) I like to phrase “where I'm from” this way: Born in the South, raised bi-coastally, attended school in the Midwest and currently live in the Southwest. So I'm from a little bit of everywhere! But really, I lived in California for the majority of my childhood/young adulthood. My blog is a wannabe travel blog, but unfortunately I don't travel that much at the moment, so it ends up being more about books and cool things I've found around the web. And link-ups, of course!

Sorry if that's way more than you ever wanted to know haha, but I'm happy you shared your Twitter handle! I'm following you now (@mcstroup). Have a blessed day!

I'm Natalie. New to your blog and I like it. :) My blog started about my newlywed life (like most blogs). I've always had a weird sense of humor and liked sharing stories and things. But has turned into a whole lot more. Right after we got married, my husband's father found out he had liver cancer. Then I took the biggest exam of my life (and passed!!)and became an engineer (in oregon). Then we started trying to have a baby, found out we couldn't. Then right before we started with a fertility clinic, found out I have thyroid cancer. So yeah. I am pretty much an open book. I still think I am funny, but it definitely isn't the same anymore. And now I am waiting to find out if I am done with this thyroid cancer treatment stuff or not. I am so excited to think about all of the fun things I will be able to do once that is over and my energy levels are back up… running, dance classes again, cooking, taking care of my husband so he can finish his PhD, get a new puppy. Anyway… world's LONGEST comment. But this is more fun than work. :)

I'm Jenna. I just came to your blog for the first time! Someone I follow on twitter retweeted it :) I am new to the blog world and started my own blog in Janurary just before my husband and I embarked on a backpacking trip across Europe to keep our friends and family informed! Right after we got back we moved to Denver…aka away from all friends and family…so i thought I might as well keep the blog going! Since then I have come to really enjoy it and the content has morphed into everything from everyday life to interior design inspiration to recipes! Anyway, come check it out if you want! PS- i also commented a similar comment on your “closet blogger” post haha…so sorry for almost duplicate comments!

    Hey Kate!

Sorry I'm just getting around to doing this, still catching up on my google reader. I'm Emily, and I started my blog: bluedogbelle.blogspot.com back in March. After nearly two years of on and off blogging I decided to really dedicate myself and start fresh with a new blog about what I love. Makeup and Politics. I live in DC, work in Governmental Affairs, but I love all things girly. I'm from Atlanta, but moved here 2 years ago, and now I can't decide what to do next. Stay in the DMV and keep working? go back to school? Move home to Atlanta and continue working? who knows. But I'm loving blogging along the way.

Anyways, thanks for doing this girl! its super fun!

    xoxo
