30 Apr

This weekend was all pretty much based on our move home.  The last few weeks we’ve been working on eating all the food in our apartment, and I must say that we did a pretty good job.  Things were looking pretty empty in our cabinets.  On Saturday morning Brian made us a 5 egg omelet.  The photo above is just of my half.  It was ginormous.  It had ham, cheese, onions, and jalapenos.  Holy smokes.  Jalapenos are almost always featured in our omelets, but this one was hella spicy.

I’m glad he made us that omelet because it was pretty much the highlight of the move, because of course, it started to rain right before we started loading our cars.  Luckily it stopped for most of the drive.  I’m not into driving on highways in the rain.

The rest of the weekend consisted of unpacking, eating, and generally getting situated.  Yesterday I went on my long run for the week (I’m up to 6 miles!) and I’m telling you, each week I am more and more spent after the long run.  Like, ruined for the day.  Hence the time out back with my book (I’m about halfway through, and I like it but I have no clue where it’s going!)  The weather on Sunday more than made up for what Saturday lacked.  It was heavenly.

How was your weekend?

P.S.  Today is the last day of April which means my swaps are getting swapped tomorrow!  Go click on the buttons in my sidebar NOW.  You won’t be sorry.

Siggy and I have this Sunday ritual (it's a ritual now, since we've done it twice) with working out in the morning and then eating one of his delicious omelets with a lots of chorizo, onion, jalapeno and even garlic. :) I just love it!

The omelette looks absolutely delicious. I had one earlier today, but it was just egg, salt & dried herbs.
My weekend was not very different. Had to go to a couple of events, they were fun enough.

I think I missed this, will you be moving home with your parents or Brian's? For how long?

My weekend was pretty good. I got a new computer so I am officially back to blogging again! Yay.

We're living with my parents for the summer (just 12 weeks!) because Brian's internship is here, and I can live wherever since I work from home :) In the fall we'll be back in our apartment for Brian's last year of law school.

Sounds like a pretty amazing weekend, especially the omelet part haha. We had a relaxing weekend too; we took Nellie on her first hike!

What did you think of Room? I don't want to tell you my thoughts in case you haven't finished it yet. :)

We will make 5-6 egg omelets with bacon, ham, cheese, onions, and peppers and split them… it's a great weekend start! How are you liking Room? I bought it for my sister for Christmas, but she said that the point of view makes it a little hard to read.

Hi, Kate! I hate that it rained during your move. But at least that's over with, and you have a new week ahead! And…. wow, 6 miles?! I only dream of being that fit. I'm good to go 6 yards right now, haha. BTW, if it's not too late: I'd like to swap with you! I'm grabbing your button now! I'll put in a 125 x 125 spot for now: but I introduced more options today, if you would like to hop over and check them out. I hope you have a good day!

Yuck for rainy day moving, but glad you survived it and were able to enjoy part of your weekend still! My weekend was relatively quiet and blah, though yesterday's impromptu Thai + ice cream dinner with the boyfriend really helped perk up the start of the week.

How are you liking Room? I've been wanting to read it but always have such a hard time buying books unless I know I'll like them. Would love to hear what you think of it!

Room has been on my to read list for awhile–I need to finally check it out! I am glad the move went well–that is never my favorite thing! I think eating up all of the food in your house is the funniest thing–we always do that before vacations, etc. It just cracks me up what kind of meals you end up with. :) Hope you're having a good day! :)

I read Room a while ago and I highly recommend it. I was in tears through half of it though, but such a good book.

Your weekend sounds great! I have Room on my kindle – recommended to me by my sister and Mama. Saving it for a quiet day when I can sit down and read it all in one hit – it sounds so intriguing! Katie. xxx
