I’m excited and nervous to share this series with you guys.  It’s something I’ve been thinking about for a while, but only now really figured out how to put into action.

It’s funny living on the same block that you’ve lived since you were two, and I’m figuring that I probably won’t get this opportunity again.  I wanted to create a series where I document places and details that I associate with memories from my childhood, and share a little bit about what they mean to me in words as well as photographs.  I decided to call the series “in this place,” and it will probably only last for the summer while we’re living here.  I hope you like it!

I love this – it's so exciting rediscovering your childhood haunts as an adult and seeing them with different eyes but, at the same time, being transported back to exactly that place. I'm experiencing the same now, having moved back home!

This is SUCH a lovely idea! Its lovely to go back to the place you grew up in as an adult, a bit bittersweet sometimes but wonderful at the same time. Enjoy exploring all those memories!

Aw I love this Kate, I'm a sucker for anything childhood related and I think our memories from that time are the most precious we have. Thanks for sharing!

This is an AWESOME idea. I think it's great that you're taking advantage of the time that you're having at home and doing this! It's so fun to relive those childhood memories. Love the photos, and I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the series!
