Now that I have my phone, I wanted to share what case I finally decided on! When Lauren told me that she had a Case Mate tough case that she designed herself, I knew that would be the perfect solution for me! The day that I wrote my post they didn’t have that option available for the iPhone 5, but by the end of the week it was up! I decided to keep it simple and just made a polka dot pattern with big white dots on a mint green background.
I haven’t really dropped my phone yet (on the carpet doesn’t count, right?) but it seems like it will hold up pretty well, and it has a lip over the front to protect the screen, which was really important to me. I found a discount code when I bought it which made it about $35 when I purchased it, which was a lot less than the Otterbox or Kate Spade cases that I was looking at. However, I did decide to buy a protective film for the front at the Apple store (which Kristin recommended to me!) and so that was like an additional $15 for a package of those.
I’m really happy with what I ended up with, and I thought I’d share some of the patterns that I made in case you wanted one of your own! You can download them for free for personal use. Disclaimer: I did play with the scale a little bit when I was ordering my case on the site, but it’s really easy!
Mint dots (like mine!)
Coral dots
Pink dots
Mustard dots
Teal dots
Mint stripes
Pink stripes
And just so you know, I wasn’t compensated in any way for this post- I just wanted to fill you guys in on what case I decided on after you were all so helpful in the shopping process!
So cute!! Buying iPhone cases is quite addictive!
Yay! Glad you love the Case-Mate option. I might just need another using your mint stripes!
those cases are ahhhdorable!! I lived in VA too for quite some time, in Richmond! What city are you in?
Thanks! That’s awesome- I love Richmond! We’re in Lexington right now, but I don’t know if it qualifies as a city :)
