Channeling Galadriel

channeling

20 Nov

Brian is a big Lord of the Rings fan, and with The Hobbit coming out in December we decided that a series viewing was in order.  I’ve never been a huge fan, but watching it miniseries-style has been pretty awesome for me.  We watched the entire, extended edition collection in under 2 hour increments, and I have to say that I liked it much better this time than the previous times that I’ve watched.  This can’t say good things about me and my attention span.

Galadriel manages to be Earthy and other-worldly all at the same time.  A lot of greenery and a lot of sparkle are perfect for her.

I love these posts! They’re always so well done and show the person/character in a way I wouldn’t have thought of. I think next you could do Channeling Eliza ;) Thomas is a big LOTR fan too, but I’ve never seen them for more than a half hour here + there. Watching them in smaller amounts of time could be just what I need to get through them! When we watch movies I usually find myself folding laundry, knitting, straightening up the room, conditioning my hair, etc…I think I too have a terrible attention span!

Love! Haven’t watched these in a while, I should probably do that before The Hobbit.

I’ve got a soft spot for anything lord of the rings and elvish, so obviously I love you channeling Galadriel. Good job missy! Now if you could only bring all of those elements physically to me we’d be in business :) And those babies breath balls are AMAZING! xoxo pretty lady!

Looooove LOTR, etc. I’m really looking forward to The Hobbit! If memory serves me, it comes out on my birthday! :D Yay!

Anyway, still adore this series of yours, and you did a fantastic job of translating my fave character into an inspiration board of awesome! I love that you channeled lots of sparkley-ness… totally suiting, and perhaps telling of why I love that character so much? Innate sparkleyness. haha.
