Starred this Week

8 Dec

Guys… yesterday I was feeling really blah.  I didn’t have time to write this post, but what I did write went on about how it’s been a really rough week.  And it was pretty crazy, in a college-exam-crazy kind of way.

But then I called my mom and she unintentionally gave me a little bit of a reality check.  There are a lot of people who have it worse than I do, and there are people out there who have had much, much worse weeks than me.  So I’m going to spare you my tales of woe, for now.

Only one more week and then we’re home for the holidays!  I can’t wait.  Do you want to hear something dumb?  I honestly think that part of the reason why this week was so hard for me is because ever since we got back from Thanksgiving we’ve been counting Weight Watchers points in an effort to slow our roll on the binge eating of the holidays. Which is all fine and well- but I am a MAJOR stress eater, people.  And when I’m stressed and can’t eat… it’s not good.

Don’t forget- I’d love to see your favorite link from the week in the comments!

Even though I’m not always very good about it, I’m definitely pro snail mail.

As a tiny apartment dweller, I appreciate this list. We’ve got the lights and the banner and a few other little things going on around here!

The history behind those wedding traditions we take for granted.

You thought tons of puppies were cute, try watching a baby and puppy play together. Heart. Melting.

WordPress is a complex thing, make sure you’re taking advantage of all of its features.

Kind of obsessed with this quote.

This makes me want to put chunky white candlesticks everywhere.

in case you missed it

Puppies.  Enough said.

Some things I’m putting on my Christmas list this year.

I really need to be better about sending letters too. I love your outlook (about how people have it much worse) and I need that reality check sometimes.

I just stumbled across your site and am really loving it! I loved your instagram round up and your shot of the pomegranate seeds – I am ALL about those too right now! Speaking of stress eating, I am the same way, and have a bit of the hand to mouth syndrome. I nix that issue by replacing whatever bad food I was about to munch on with a big bowl of pomegranate seeds! I feel like I could never eat too many :)

Cant wait to read more on your blog!
