I wanted to spend some time today reflecting on this exercise that many of us have been doing this past week. When I recorded my vlog last Thursday, I set out to blog every day with something new that I created. That clearly didn’t happen, and while it stressed me out a little bit yesterday, I think that it’s important to know your limits. And with all the work that I had yesterday (which is mostly creative) I just didn’t have it in me to do something else. And that’s okay.
I also wasn’t entirely successful in staying off of blogs and Pinterest. It was just too hard with blog posts popping up on Twitter and Facebook every two seconds. I think what I’ve learned moving forward is that I don’t have to try to keep up with blogs all the time. I’m thinking about abandoning my Google Reader altogether- it’s really just a way for me to hoard information.
I really want to thank everyone who tweeted, instagrammed, or commented about the the creative cleanse this week. Your support was incredibly motivating and it made me so happy to see others inspired to take action in their own creativity! I so enjoyed posting it on Instagram that I think I’ll probably continue to use that hashtag for future creative cleanses, even if they’re just for an afternoon or so. Have a wonderful weekend!

You know, we all tend to be really hard on ourselves. It’s ok not to do EVERYTHING you set out to do. :) Some bloggers are like superheros and I’m like WHERE does she find the time to do all these pretty things?! Ha!
I love the calligraphy in that first photo! And thanks for the links, I’ll certainly be reading through those! :)
Thanks for including my link! I just had such a blast with this project – I think I’ll keep at it and keep using the hashtag too :) xoxo! Eliza
I like your calligraphy! I also very much like the ombré tone it is taking in the picture.
