One of my friends from college came into town last weekend, and we took a trip to a local zoo. Basically, there’s a bunch of animals running around on this property, and you slowly drive your car on this gravel path and feed the animals as they run up to your car. It’s pretty crazy! I’d been once before as a chaperone on a first grade field trip, so this was experience was a little different and luckily I was able to take lots of pictures this time!
They give you a list of animals that you’re not supposed to pet or feed when you enter the park, so we rolled up our windows for the zebras, and let’s face it, any other animal that we weren’t keen on petting. Some of the animals stick their heads right in your car to try to get some food! It’s kind of insane to be that close to them. I didn’t get many pictures of them, but there were lots of cute deer– those were our favorite to pet and feed, they had the best manners!
Would you pet the animals? I was kind of shy at first, and it took me a long time to finally reach my bucket out my window and feed animals. The llamas at the beginning are kind of creepy and aggressive!
Haha! I would find this super amusing! They look so funny :)
That sounds like so much fun! I don’t know how I’d feel about being that close to some of those animals though!
Oh wow, my son would love this! I feel a road trip coming on…
This is hilarious! I’m not sure how much I would trust them – My brother stood to pose next to Llama last year and it bit him. One of my highlights of the year! I love that picture of the deer with the puzzled face.
Just read your field trip post…Hilarious! Gotta love the randomness of subbing. That “zoo” looks fun, but I’m not sure how healthy it is for the animals!
This place looks awesome!! I love the pic of the zebra right by the car :)
This looks like so much fun though I would be a little freaked when they put their head in the car.
