I’m trying to move these posts closer to Friday, but as you can see, it’s still a work in progress. Bear with me.
Quick question: how do you guys wake up in the morning? I usually spend the first 20 minutes of my day checking stuff on my phone. It allows me to stay in bed longer and I feel like I’m being sorta productive, because if I wasn’t in bed I’d be checking social media on my computer. It’s probably not the best habit, but for now I’m just enjoying the fact that I’m able to do it.
Yesterday we headed to Williamsburg for the day, and today Brian and I are catching up on work. I’m hoping to go for a walk though- the weather looks so nice! The sun coming into our apartment and the birds chirping are already putting me in a better mood. What are you up to this weekend, amigos?
Any post that contains the phrase “giant internet hug” gets an A+ in my book. Isn’t Natalie the coolest?
I’m not a parent, but I still thought this was a really interesting read. (Found via Swiss Miss)
Seems like the redesign bug is going around blog world- I’m especially loving the new looks for Creature Comforts and Story of My Life.
I participated in Penelope and Pip’s Wise Words project– if you like pretty graphics, this series is for you!
I recapped Easter 2013.
On reflecting, but not dwelling.
Bloggers You Don’t Want to Be, Part 2. (Don’t forget about Part 1!)
Check out my tips for visiting Virginia in Elembee’s Across the USA series!
Hubs and I are about to go to the grocery store and I’m hoping to make a trip to the dog park with Anabelle today! I can’t wait until we live in a nice neighborhood where we can go on walks! Right now it’s a bit of a concrete jungle.
That sounds fun! There’s a lot of trails nearby, but we actually have to kind of be careful because there aren’t a lot of sidewalks near our apartment- I’m excited to live somewhere more pedestrian-friendly, too!
On weekdays, I have to go from bed straight into the shower or I will not really be awake in time to get ready to go to work. On weekends, I have started checking Instagram before getting out of bed – seeing the fun things my friends and the bloggers I follow are doing usually motivates me to do something fun, too.
Doesn’t it? Instagram is almost always the first thing I check- there’s just something about seeing all those pretty pictures that helps start the day off right!
LOL I’m glad I’m not the only person that wakes up, rolls over, and grabs my phone to check social networks. I’m even bad about browsing the web and reading blogs on my Kindle from bed too. :/
I hope you had a good time in Williamsburg! I’ve been there a couple of times and it’s such a cute, quaint, and historic little town. Not to mention Busch Gardens is always fun to visit too.
And I love your “Bloggers You Don’t Want to Be” series, by the way! Great info. :)
I read your tips for visiting Virginia and loved it! Sometimes I really, really wished I lived in VA just to soak up the gorgeous countryside. It is probably my favorite state that I’ve visited so far.
We’re on the other end of the country (WA state!) and the weather here was perfect over the weekend so we spent almost all of our time outside. Glad I found your blog! :)
I wake up to my phone like that too! hehe
haha I actually read this comment from my bed this morning :)
