I’m a firm believer in a good thank you note. But I must confess that as a natural procrastinator, sometimes if I don’t have the right note card to use it takes me a while to get the card in the mail. Uncommon Goods was nice enough to send me the Year of Gratitude Set to review, and I’m super motivated to send some notes! Bring on the gifts, people.
I knew I would love the card designs from the website listing, but those shiny gold envelopes were a very pleasant surprise! It even comes with a sweet Year of Gratitude journal, which I’m excited to start using. I feel like I’m constantly coming across articles and blog posts about how the simple act of recognizing all the things that you are grateful for can greatly increase your day-to-day happiness. However, if you’re not in the habit of taking the time to do that, well… it’s easy to let it go by the wayside. This little journal would go a long way to give you a reason to sit down and ponder all the good things in your life.
If you’re anything like me, you’re probably in the market for some last-minute graduation gifts (the final of my 3 graduations of 2013 is this weekend!) I’m always in favor of the gift of stationery, and the way this set is packaged makes it a great graduation gift! If that doesn’t seem like it would suit your graduate, Uncommon Goods has a ton of other great options! And they also have a lot of affordable items to pick from.
Are you a believer in the magic of handwritten thank you notes? I didn’t write many as a kid, but as an adult I’ve really come to appreciate them. There’s just something so fun about getting something handwritten in the mail! I’m a stationery nerd, so if you have any tried and true favorite stationery sources I’d love to hear about them in the comments!
Father’s Day is also coming up, and Uncommon Goods has some great gift ideas!
I received this set from Uncommon Goods to review, but was otherwise not compensated for this post. All opinions are from yours truly.
I never grew up writing thank you notes, but now that Pinterest has opened my eyes to all the pretty options available, I’m thinking about starting to. Now if I could figure out when I should send a thank you note (and not feel weird about it), I’ll be set!
I am such a sucker for stationary and this is such a lovely set. Thanks for posting!
I am obsessed with writing thank you notes and I LOVE shopping for them. I didn’t grow up writing them – my mom is really not into cards or letters, but I kind of gained an appreciation for it later.
I’m a stationary nerd too! ;) I love handwritten notes/cards!
this is such a sweet idea! I think we all need encouragement to remember to say thank you from time to time :)
