Remember when I shared this moodboard a few weeks ago? Well, we wrapped up the final details of her site recently, and I’m really excited to show you guys the final result! Kris is an interior decorating / DIY blogger, and I just love her style! When we started, she was looking to make the move to WordPress, and wanted something with a clean look and better navigation where her posts could really shine. I had a lot of fun showcasing all her great content in this blog design!
Originally, she wanted a hand-drawn logo, but in the end we wound up outsourcing the logo to Kelly Christine Studio– didn’t she do a great job? I love the mark she came up with! We were still able to incorporate hand-drawn elements on the date and in the sidebar about section, which I think created a nice balance given the look we were going for.
If I had to pick a favorite element of this project, I think I’d go with the post meta section at the end of each post- I had a lot of fun incorporating the DD element of the logo in various places on the site. I also had a ton of fun with the about page. Head on over and check it out for yourself!
P.S. Don’t worry, a new monthly recap will be up tomorrow!
Edit: I forgot to mention that my web host did the Blogger to WordPress transfer for us, and it went really smoothly! If you’re looking for a web host, I’ve been really happy with RFE Hosting (that’s my affiliate link!)
