Always, Hunter

Eek! Remember this moodboard? Well, today is launch day for the finished blog! Hunter is such a cool girl- she’s currently studying film (as evidenced by this awesome and beautifully done video she posted for her launch today), she’s got a great sense of style and she has so many awesome interests that she’s planning to feature on her brand new blog. I’m so excited for her and the start of this new venture!

Hunter was looking for something clean and classic with a hint of glamour. We went through a couple of rounds of logo concepts before we settled on the final one, here are some of the ideas we explored on the way:

After the first round, we knew that we would definitely include a calligraphy font of some kind, so we began the search for just the right combination of fonts. Hunter chose my favorite version- that doesn’t always happen, so when it does I’m one happy little designer. For the final blog design, we paired the wordmark with an illustration that Hunter had done by a friend. We kept the header in the sidebar on the left, I love how it turned out!

Hunter travels a lot and wanted a special graphic for her travel page, we had a lot of fun with that one! Don’t miss this new blog– Hunter is so sweet and I’m so excited to see what exciting things she creates for her site!

This is just stunning. I don’t see a lot of purple in blog designs these days, so this colour palette is so refreshing! Love it!
