Faison Anne

Today’s blog design comes along with a little history lesson. I met Faison way back when I first started (really using) my first blog, some time in 2011. We were both right out of college, and our blogs were about weddings, personal style, newlywed stuff… pretty much whatever we were into at the moment! It was a really fun time for me in blogging- it was something totally new to me and I loved connecting with other bloggers. Faison was one of the first bloggers that I connected with online.

Fast forward a few years and blogging has changed a lot on the whole, our lives look a lot different than they did back then, but we’ve both forged creative careers that kinda got their start in those early blog days. Faison is a photographer, and I have my web design business. It’s so funny to think back on how things turned out- I never would have thought I’d be doing what I do now when I created my little Blogger blog back in the day.

Here’s the cool thing: a while back, Faison hired me to design a new personal blog for her. I think it’s awesome that she’s starting fresh! I’ve been in a(n admittedly long) season of finishing web projects so writing has been on the back burner, but I’ve definitely been feeling the itch lately, so I love that she’s launching a new blog right now!

We started off with this colorful moodboard, and the rest just went from there!

We went pretty simple on her about page, and I love how it turned out! Faison takes great photos, so it was fun to design something that really lets you focus on her work. Make sure you check out the new blog for yourself!
